Open Day, National Poetry Day & Languages Week

Thank you – and your daughters – for supporting Prior’s Field’s Open Day last Saturday, when our pupils engaged everyone – from babies to grandparents – with their usual friendliness and natural ease.
We were equally delighted to welcome parents and over 100 girls, both current and prospective, to our Sixth Form open evening on Tuesday. Current Sixth Formers chatted to Fifths about the transition to this most senior part of the school, the different teaching style, benefits of single sex education at this stage and the details of specific A-Level subjects. Our Fifth Formers are now looking forward to their Taster Day next week when they will sample A-Level lessons.

Meanwhile, in school, we have enjoyed National Poetry Day activities, the First Form has been on a Maths trip to the British Museum, the Music Department has celebrated its new premises with a relaxed evening performance and we are celebrating hockey success.
