Music Scholars enjoy an afternoon of Indonesian instrumentals.

Mr Pratt reports, ‘On Monday, the Music Department hosted a meeting of school Directors of Music from as north as High Wycombe to as south as Portsmouth. Apart from discussing such things as A Levels, GCSEs and future concerts, they took part in a Gamelan Workshop hosted by Inspire Works. A Gamelan is an Indonesian Orchestra, and they learnt about the various instruments and different scales. In the afternoon, a selection of our Music Scholars combined with a Fourth Form GCSE Music group to attend the same workshop. Mike from Inspire Works claimed that the students grasped the new challenges quicker than the teachers had, something Mr Pratt refuses to accept!’
