Sporting Prowess: Friday 28 September 2018

It has been wonderful to see so many students, both new and existing, in the new kit on the hockey pitch and netball courts as the start of our season is well under way.

There has been an abundance of netball matches which started with a friendly U14 tournament at Churchers College. This was then followed by matches against Guildford High with every age group play against them, including all of First Form as six U12 teams took part in these friendly matches. The U13’s have also played against Manor House, Notre Dame and St Edmund’s whilst the U12 C&D team hosted Sir William Perkins. U14 A-D all had very close encounters with Tormead. All results are on our sports website.

Meanwhile our U15, U13 A&B and U12 A&B hockey teams have also been competing on the hockey pitch. The U15’s had a comfortable win against Bedales with our U12’s also victorious against Sutton High. The U13’s took part in their first tournament of the season which we hosted here at PF. Dusting off some rusty cobwebs both teams played some fantastic hockey and earned second place in their respective tournaments.

Some of our gymnasts enjoyed taking part in an in-house workshop last week Saturday where different skills and routines were practised whilst our swimmers have had their first gala against St Theresa’s Effingham.

Thank you to those who have already shown commitment to training every week. A reminder that there is definitely a club for all no matter what sport you choose, so if you are keen please come along as we would love you to be involved.
