Achieving Creatively in Rome: a mercurial blend of Renaissance, Baroque, Contemporary and Ancient Antiquity formed the melting pot of inspiration served up on the Creative Arts trip to Rome which even included a special night-time tour of the Vatican.
Poignant reflections on the power of Poetry and Propaganda: As part of their ‘War’ topic and to enrich their study of ‘The Lie’ by Helen Dunmore, the Second Form had a group immersive lesson looking at imagery, propaganda and poetry in relation to the First World War. With the Centenary approaching, their conclusions are particularly relevant and poignant.
Remembrance: This morning was a time for thoughtful reflection as we welcomed the Reverend Caroline Burnett from Compton to join us at our Remembrance Service.

First Across the Line for Gifted Athlete: No rest this half-term for relay runner Christina in Second Form. She not only attended the Surrey County Schools’ Endurance Workshop for Gifted Athletes but managed to cram in an impressive gold medal with her relay team in the South of England Cross Country Championship and a first to finish in her lane at the Surrey County Cross-Country Relay.

First Form of 2019 Arrive this Weekend!: Over 130 girls will be welcomed this weekend to our Sherlock Holmes themed Preview Day where they will be tasked with solving a series of clues and meet a series of fictional characters such as Dr Watson, Mrs Hudson and Mycroft to name but a few.
Prior’s Field Centre of Excellence for Teaching Creative Arts: We are so proud this weekend to be hosting the prestigious ISADA (Independent Schools Art & Design Association) Autumn Conference. Mr Kinder has gathered an incredible portfolio of speakers and workshop leaders which include: Landscape Artist Mark Spray, Photographer David Watts, Urban Artist and member of the Royal Academy Jeanette Barnes, Amanda Hislop the textile artist and Peter Monkman a previous winner of the BP National Portrait Gallery Annual Award.
Triumphs and Trophies: Congratulations also to Romana in Third Form who was runner up in a Grade 3 tennis tournament at Sutton in the 18&U category and her younger sister First Former Jess who narrowly missed the finals as she lost in the semi-finals in a very tight match.
Tennis Academy Triumphs and Trophies: Prior’s Field girls performed really well in the prestigious G-3 Winter Tennis Tournament at Sutton during this half term: Second Former Sophie Q won the Grade 4 tennis tournament at Sutton in the 18&U category and was runner-up in the Grade 16& U Category.
