19 June: Prior's Field's Greenpower Team win Best Engineered Car! 27 April: The first Prior's Field 'Greenpower' team headed off to Goodwood race track. Greenpower is a national schools' competition which encourages students to build and race electric battery operated cars. Our team of 10 girls, supported by the Head of DT and 3 parent/adult helpers, raced 'Wasabi' our stylish mauve and green car against 26 other schools. 'Wasabi' held second place throughout and that was its final position - a huge achievement for all concerned. We look forward now to the next round. Girls from the Young Engineers Club designed the car and used their physics and engineering skills to ensure that it lasted the 90 minute race.
