Find out more about
For full boarders, the school really is their home. The girls spend a lot of time here and, over weekends, they are provided with balanced opportunities for study and relaxation.
All full boarders whose parents do not reside in the UK require an appointed guardian, who is over the age of 25 and not studying at another educational establishment. During the May Bank Holiday exeat weekend and school holidays, the girls’ guardians will be responsible for accommodating them and communicating with school and parents. Please see our international pupil page for full details.
Weekly boarders return to school on Sunday evening or Monday morning. They are able to take advantage of focused study during the week and leave us at 4.10pm on Friday. By arrangement with their Housemistress, they are welcome to stay weekend evenings but must arrange this by Wednesday evening each week to allow for catering.
Flexi Boarding (Years 7 and 8 only)
Flexi boarding at Prior’s Field tailors the girls’ stay to meet their individual needs, be it an early morning sports activity, an after-school play rehearsal or a regular club. When staying overnight, they will go into the Junior House with the other boarders at the end of the school day. After clubs and activities or supervised prep they will go for supper, then it’s time to relax with their friends before bed. Flexi boarders will need to identify in advance the nights each week when they will board. These nights will then be fixed for the term ahead. Charges will be invoiced by the school in advance. A summary sheet of frequently asked questions is available on request.
Temporary boarding is available on an ad hoc basis and is subject to availability. Please contact the relevant Housemistress to discuss your request.
