Hi, we are currently boarders at PRIOR’S FIELD. Boarding is a great experience to have here at the school. We love it!

There are so many things to do after school; you can have tea or hot chocolate in your pantry or common room. The First Form have a brand new common room and pantry area – it’s lovely and a great place firstly to work and secondly to relax. You can also relax in a friend’s room whilst listening to some music. In the First Form, you share a room with at least one other person; but as you move up through the school, there are fewer people in each room. By the Third Form, everyone has their own rooms.

There are a lot of boarding staff to help you with your homework. (And some Sixth Formers and prefects too.) You do your homework a few hours after school has finished and after clubs have finished.

Most boarders are weekly boarders; but for those who are full boarders, particularly those who live overseas, there are many weekend trips to entertain everyone. For example, there has been shopping in Bluewater, going climbing at Craggy Island, picnics, forestry adventures and much, much more! Each half term there is one exeat where all the boarders go home and no one stays in the boarding house. Boarding is so much fun and we hope that you will choose to be a boarder when you come here!
