The Food at Prior's Field

There is a wide variety of food at Prior’s Field. The lunches are very good. (Yes, it’s true. They really are. You don’t hear that very often from school children, do you?) They have something for everyone, including vegetarians.

There is a Pasta bar with two choices of sauce. IF you want to have a quick lunch then you can go to the salad or sandwich bar. There is a choice of fruit as well. Having lunch is a good time to have a chat with your friends.

At Prior’s Field, we also have a tuck shop. This gives us a chance to bring money into school and buy a piece of chocolate or something sweet at break. The prices vary from 20p – £1.30. The tuck shop is now Fair Trade, which means that more of the profit is given to the people who provide and grow the food. At lunch time you can buy stationery, cards, school supplies and more. This can get put onto your school bill, so you don’t have to bring money for these things.

Every break, we are given a snack. It might be a cookie, some fruit, a cereal bar, rice crispy cake, a doughnut or something else. We get tea after school as well. That’s normally home-made cakes or cookies. (And there is always huge excitement when it’s doughnuts!)
