At GCSE, in years 10 and 11, girls generally take nine subjects (or ten if they choose separate sciences).
Compulsory subjects (6 GCSEs): English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science and a Modern Foreign Language – French or Spanish. We offer all three sciences for GCSE, or the dual award course. It is also possible for us to arrange tutors if languages other than French or Spanish are requested.
Girls then choose three of the following options. (Please note that although we try to accommodate all subjects, some combinations of subjects may not always be possible. Information about this will be available at the beginning of the summer term every year.)
There are 23 A Level subjects to choose from at Prior’s Field. Most girls will choose four AS Levels in the lower sixth form, dropping to three A2s in the upper sixth form. (Please note that although we try to accommodate all subjects, some combinations of subjects may not always be possible. Information about this will be available at the beginning of the summer term every year.)
In addition to these A Level Courses, the Extended Project Qualification is available and worth additional UCAS points. All girls follow citizenship courses, as part of their broader enrichment.
