My name is Chantal Borciani (OG 1992-1997) and I currently live in London and work as a production editor at IPC Media. My sisters were also both at Prior’s Field: Daniela Causer (née Borciani, OG 1982-1987) and Natasha Borciani (OG 1984-1989).
I rekindled my relationship with Prior’s Field when I was invited to take part in the Lower Sixth Careers Dinner. It was surreal to be back in the assembly hall, but great to see the many changes the school has undergone. I would encourage anyone to get a group of PF Old Girls together and arrange to come back to Prior’s Field: it’s really good fun and brought back many lovely memories.
I was delighted to be elected Chair of PF Old Girls. It is a tremendous honour and exciting times lie ahead. I work closely with the alumnae office and visit the school on a regular basis to catch up with all the news. Prior’s Field has embarked on a number of developments over recent years – an all-weather sports pitch, Creative Arts centre and new combined Music, Science and Technology centre – which are inspiring to see.
One of my aims as Chair is to encourage Old Girls to participate in our networking events, to help current pupils (particularly the Sixth Form) decide which path to take after Prior’s Field. We can provide valuable information and personal experience to support the girls, in this increasingly complex and competitive world, post school.
Other aims are to encourage leavers from all eras to return to school, become more involved in PF Old Girls and to support the school’s charity, the Prior’s Field Foundation. The latter works to provide transformational bursaries for girls who could thrive at Prior’s Field but need 100% support. Great schooling is such a crucial factor and I’m thrilled that the bursaries will help less-privileged girls benefit from the amazing facilities and warm atmosphere at Prior’s Field.
Of course, reunions and events are an important part of PF Old Girls and these include drinks in London, bespoke reunions for different year groups and art cream teas.
I really look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. We would love to hear from you with your news, do get in touch.
