110 Anniversary Events  -  1902 - 2012

110 years ago Prior's Field was founded by Julia Huxley and the school’s first 7 pupils assembled on January 23,
1902. Prior's Field continues to go from strength to strength and we would like to take this opportunity for the
whole school community to celebrate our past and present while looking forward to the future.

New all weather pitch opening and Old Girls V Current Girls hockey match – Saturday 12 May, 2012

All OG’s are invited to come back to school with friends and family on Saturday May 12th for the opening of the new pitch by Crista Cullen, who has over 150 GB and England combined hockey caps and was GB’s top goal scorer at the Beijing Olympics.

The program for the day is as follows:-

10:30 - Hockey coaching for current girls and any Old Girls who would like to join in!

12:00  - Official opening by Crista Cullen

12:30 – Prior’s Field v PF current 1st X1  

We will be serving light refreshments during the day but please do feel free to picnic on the sports field with family and friends.

60’s/70’s Decade Reunion Lunch – Saturday 16  June, 2012

Old Girls v Current Girls Netball Match - Saturday 15 September 2012

After the success of the Old Girls v Current Girls netball match in March 2012 we are pleased to announce that we are planning a future match on Saturday 15 September 2012. Meeting at 9:30am to start play at 10:00am.

Head and Deputy Head Girls’ drinks – Friday 19 October 2012

We will be hosting a drinks reception for all of  Prior’s Field’s Head  and Deputy Head Girls –  more details to follow.

Julia Huxley Lecture – Thursday 8th  November , 2012

This is a unique opportunity to come and hear Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE speak at the annual Huxley Lecture. She is a British scientist, writer, broadcaster and member of the House of Lords. Specialising in the physiology of the brain, Susan researches the impact of 21st century technologies on the mind, how the brain generates consciousness and novel approaches to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Tickets for this event will be on sale in September 2012. This lecture will be the culmination of a Philosophy and Science conference for students hosted at PF during the day.
