In addition to involvement in local and national charities, Prior's Field has a track record of outreach overseas.
In recent years girls have supported, and visited, projects in Ghana and Peru. The project at the Rainbow Centre in Peru involved building new rooms for a school for disabled, disowned and abused children. A group of girls and staff will visit Peru again in 2011 to work with other young people from around the world. The school community supports this work with a variety of fundraising events, including a whole school ten mile walk involving staff, girls and a few pet dogs!

Other opportunities for service in the community are provided by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
There are currently 38 students taking Bronze, 20 Silver and 8 Gold. In 2009, Expeditions were in the local area, Snowdonia and Norway.
Prior's Field is also involved in World Challenge, with a group preparing to leave for Costa Rica in 2010.
Over the years the school has worked with a school in Nepal and current staff and pupils are now planning future outreach projects with schools in other parts of the world.
