Each year, groups of girls set off for different parts of the world, either to study, to compete or to enjoy some cultural highlights.
Recent visits, aimed to extend and enhance classroom learning, have involved the First World War Battlefields in France, galleries in Florence, ancient sites in Rome, hockey tournaments in Holland, netball tours to South Africa and the US and music tours to European Cities. Prior's Field also has links with a school in Australia and each year Upper School girls have the opportunity to take part in an exchange visit. For linguistics, opportunities to Christmas shop in Paris, travel to Granada and Normandy have all proved very popular.
For a number of years now Prior's Field has been involved in a student exchange programme with Ruyton Girls' School in Melbourne, Australia. The exchange is an opportunity for students to live and study in Australia, broadening their outlook and undertaking new and cultural and educational experiences. Ruyton is an independent day school in the centre of Melbourne offering excellent academic standards, as well as a varied programme of sport, drama and music. The exchange is run with present Fourth Form students. The Australian girls come to the UK from September until October half term and the PF girls will return to Melbourne in July the following year after their GCSE examinations.
