School Council

School Council is an important part of life at Prior’s Field. Each form sends a representative to meetings with the Head, which are chaired by a Deputy Head Girl and attended by the Head and Deputy Heads. A series of significant issues are debated and discussed and initiatives and proposals put forward.

Recent topics have included consideration of how PF might support a girls' school in a developing country. Greg Mortenson's Three Cups of Tea inspired many discussions.

Other significant contributions to school life have been made through supporting the school's Green Charter: recycling, setting up a wormery, PF Planet Pledge to save energy and tree planting in the school grounds.

School Council has a real voice and girls are encouraged to have a say in how their school can be improved and developed.
