Sixth Form Process and Criteria
Sixth Form Admissions Process
Sixth Form students and prospective parents and are invited to the school’s Sixth Form Open Evening in the Autumn Term prior to entry the following September. During the evening, families are introduced to key members of staff, including the Heads of Sixth Form and Sixth Form Boarding Housemistress. There is also the opportunity to meet and talk to Heads of Department and subject teachers about your preferred A Level options. Parents and students are also welcome to attend one of our whole school Open Mornings, or request an individual tour of the school and meeting with the Head.
Minimum entry to Sixth Form is 6 GCSE’s level 5 or above with a Level 7-9 in the subjects chosen for A Level or a near equivalent. Sixth Form scholarships take place in November and places are offered in December for the following September. Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sport scholarships are offered at 16+.
A written reference and predicted (I)GCSE grades are then requested from the applicant’s current school and an offer may be made based on these.
