Classics by Candlelight January 23 2018

Save the date for this evening concert organised by our BTec Music girls.  More details to follow in the New Year.

A school mufti day is planned for next Friday 20 October, in exchange for girls bringing in donations for the PSA Christmas Fair during morning drop-off next Monday and Tuesday. The following items are requested per year group please: First and Third Form – chocolate (boxes, bars, packets) for the very popular chocolate tombola; Second Form – unused make-up or bath treats for the under 18 tombola; Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Form – bottles of any kind, from shampoo to champagne, for the over 18 tombola.

Calling all entries for Prior’s Field’s poetry competition, which takes its theme from National Poetry Day: Freedom. A reminder from Mr Butler: ‘In keeping with the theme there are no rules, other than the poem needs in some way to be about freedom, and must be emailed or given to your English teacher before half-term. Hugely wonderful prizes, merits and, hopefully, an anthology published. Get writing and set yourselves free!’

All years came together to begin collecting items for the Number Five Project, a homeless shelter based in Guildford and voted one of Prior’s Field’s four whole school charities this year. Form Prefects have been busily collating donations today; further gifts can be brought in on Monday or, for Third Form girls who are out today, Tuesday too. A prefect team will deliver everything to the Number Five Project next week: the charity particularly welcomes breakfast cereals, biscuits or cake, jams and marmalade, toothpaste, UHT milk, squash, fabric conditioner, stain remover, men’s deodorant, kitchen foil, tomato sauce, sugar, jogging bottoms s/m sizes.

Thank you for anything you are able to offer.
