Careers Talks

What do a Criminologist, a Biomedical Scientist, an Actress, a SKY News Reporter and a Media Communications Producer for Apple Europe all have in common? In a series of Talks spread across 5 weeks, they will visit Prior’s Field to speak to the girls about their careers and the path they took to success, and to answer any questions that they girls would like to ask.

This is an amazing opportunity for students to not only hear about possible career choices, but also to understand where their current school subjects can lead. The Talks are open to the entire school, except ‘At Home with a Criminologist’ which is open to Fourth Form and above.

To find out more and to book a place on one or more of the Talks, please visit FROG.

Second Form Social

The mouth-watering smell of chocolate drifted from the dining hall on Monday and Wednesday afternoons as the Second Former’s enjoyed a Chocolate Making workshop run by Sara Jane Chocolates. The girls filled chocolate moulds with a delicious caramel and were invited to make their own creations from an assortment of sweet treats.

Mrs Horton has reported fantastic LAMDA results with over half the girls awarded distinction in their exams and most others getting merits. Well done to all of you and a big thank you for the continued hard work of our wonderful LAMDA teachers Mrs Rogers and Mrs Venus.

Huxley Essay

A reminder that entry to the Huxley Essay Prize closes on 31st January. This year’s theme is ‘Independence’, which can be interpreted any way the girls wish so long as there is a connection to the theme. More information can be found  here.
