On Tuesday evening, the assembly hall was transformed into an ambient and intimate venue for Classics by Candlelight. Our BTEC Music students Becca, Chloe and Eleanor organised this event as part of their course criteria, and their audience were treated to an enchanting evening of music played by our talented Music Scholars. On such a gloomy evening in mid-January, it was a soothing tonic for the soul – tables were beautifully decorated and lit by candles, a delicious antipasti was served and well stocked bar was available. The Music Scholars played and sang an eclectic range of pieces including classics from Composers such as Handel, Bach and Tchaikovsky all the way through to modern classics written by the likes of Sheeran and London Grammar.

Well done to the BTEC Music girls on organising the successful event and thank you to the Music Scholars, the Music Department and everyone who supported them.
